Kevin Dorrian – Director

Recognised as one of Scotland’s most experienced public relations consultants and someone who places a strong emphasis on strategy and development, Kevin has worked nationally and internationally on a myriad of business from university spin-outs to FTSE 100 companies. He is well respected and highly regarded by journalists in a number of key sectors – oil & gas, automotive, transportation, logistics, innovation & enterprise, academia and technology.

His passion for PR came about because most of his working life has been spent in and around the media.  From the late 70’s he was working with organisations like BBC Scotland, Radio Forth and Radio Tay; as the ‘voice’ delivering traffic and travel news in east-central Scotland; before moving to the Midlands in the early 80’s to help establish “AA Roadwatch”, which became the ‘standard bearer’ for all local and regional traffic reporting media outlets throughout the UK and is still used today.

For the past 20 years he has been cutting his teeth in PR consultancy working on many high profile and award winning PR campaigns for the likes of Kwik-Fit, CR Smith, Scottish Motor Trade Association and Grampian Country Food Group to name a few.

He formed KDA-PR in 1996 and merged the business to form Acumen in 2002 offering a wide range of public relations and communications services to all levels of national and international businesses.
