Managing Director Jane Hunter Irons Out All The worries

Managing Director Jane Hunter Irons Out All The worries

If you have ever met Jane Hunter, you’ll know what a firebrand she really is.  Full of energy, vigour and with a real desire to help, she recently decided to set up a new business that offered ironing services in Edinburgh and the surrounding areas called Kwik Ironing.

I asked her why did she do this and she replied:

“Like most busy people who run a business or who have frantic jobs and are trying to have a family life we are often caught under a mountain of other things that need done, but are often ignored. Ironing being one them! You see a large pile of clothes sitting in ‘the room of gloom’ growling at them…screaming that it wants attention.  Making them feel guilty and then they promise themselves they will tackle it one day, which just adds to their guilt when they don’t do it.  They are caught in a circle that seems never ending.

At Kwik Ironing, we simply and easily take all that away and make people feel like they have had as much a treat in their lives as they would if they were spending money on pampering themselves.  Let’s face it; getting your ironing done is a treat to yourself.”

My wife, who is a senior midwife and is often on call, is as busy as me, and we also have a 4 year old son.   So as you can imagine domestic chores are often a low priority.

Jane had me hooked, when I realised for prices starting at £20 for a black bag full of ironing she would come and collect it and have her team of professional ironer’s (is that the right word?) with their ‘super’ irons (none of your domestic stuff here) and bring it back the next day all done!

She was indeed true to her word; they arrived next day on time, ‘just perfect’. They were like new and smelling wonderful (my wife ruins things when ironing…ssshhh), the shirts were all hanging on quality coat hangers.   I am so seriously in my wife’s good books as a result of doing this, you wouldn’t believe.

What’s next for Jane and her Kwik Ironing business?  Apart from ‘ironing out’ the worries of the laundry!   Well it’s for growth and taking on more staff, moving into other areas of domesticity and of course to make our lives easier…I’m up for that.   Jane’s business already delivers a real quality service, that I can testify to, but it’s her attitude of true customer service I think we all in business have something to learn.  Focussing on their need and going beyond our expectations has meant that she has got my repeat business.  I know many of her clients feel the same way; they constantly come back to Jane’s business.

If you want to treat yourself or your other half, I believe that nothing says ‘I love you’ more than getting Jane to take all the ironing that needs done away (and bring it back the next day).  Call her now on 0131 339 0822, email sales@kwikironing.com or visit the website at www.kwikironing.com and start treating yourself, you deserve it.
