You could cut Sharon Ritchie across the middle and it would read like a stick of rock, with the phrase ‘Edinburgh Chamber of Commerce’ running through it. Such is her passion and enthusiasm for the role she plays at the Chamber.
Over the years, Sharon has gained both the respect and trust of those she does business with. Being someone with a go ahead attitude has allowed her to have some very high level connections within the Edinburgh business community. She is one of the people who can get you in front of some very big names.
But it’s not just about the size of organisations Sharon knows, she is someone who genuinely cares. Care about her clients’ needs, cares that they are getting the best use of Chamber services, cares that chamber members becomes successful and that is across the spectrum of all size of businesses.
With her range of contacts and business experiences, Sharon is in demand to give advice and views. So much so that she sits on the board of a social enterprise project for Sikh Women helping them with cultural change and have helped to raise their profile and also by an organisation called ‘Winnet 8’ a European funded project to give her expertise on women in business and social enterprise.
Away from business Sharon is very much the family woman, married and has a wonderful little girl called Bethany, who is the apple of her eye and two grown up twin boy’s, one of whom recently made Sharon a very proud grandmother to a very healthy little boy.
